Was grocery shopping this weekend, and came across the little rack where they have some die cast cars. Some are decent, like Bentleys, GTRs, other god stuff. But then I saw this.
Why?
Why is this made?
They had a few there, in different colors. It was mind boggling. My wife was even flabbergasted as to why they made a die cast of the Corolla.

A lot of people buy die casts of their cars. A lot of people have Corollas.

Some people really love their Corolla.
I don't know these people, but apparently, they exist.
Some people also really love their dishwasher.

Maybe they're just trying to get kids to aspire lower. That way there's less of a chance for disappointment in life.

That's actually pretty cool. How many die-cast Corollas do you think you could find?

Ah yes, the diecast Corolla... For the aspiring liberal arts student who finds irony in a compact miniature of his second-hand, 4-door compact.

It's actually pretty sweet if you think about it; some kids want a toy car that looks just like daddy's.

You don't want to know those people. Their lives are as boring as their cars

I had an old boss who found out I was big into cars and we ended up talking. He knew his stuff and is a very sharp guy when it came to the topic of project cars he told me he has a newer Corolla that is a show car???

Uly, there is no such thing as an awesome Corolla*!
And you drive an Audi wagon (right?) I'd say thats much better than any Corolla!
*Unless someone dumped their trust fund into tuning/upgrading everything.

i'd trade in the wagon for a 2015 Corolla S in blue in a heart beat!!! Or a Carmy XLE in!
But I can't afford a new payment at the moment. One day though. A full warranty, waaay better MPG, and a complete maintenance plan will currently stay just an awesome dream :'(

Really!?
Where is your sense of adventure? Get an exciting CPO thats not a Corolla / Camry / similar beigemobile ! :)
Iv'e driven both. It was like the cars were numbed with painkillers and set lose on the road.

AMG S-class, Vanquish, S60 R-design T-6, I would call equally "numb". Though, if you can't feel the communication with the vehicle, I see that as a personal problem. I wrote THIS on this magical "road feel" which I feel is a fictional tool to clown on cars.
My brother has a 2013 Camry V6 that can our perform any BMW, Merc, and Audi i've owned. Not just in acceleration but in overall control and drivability. This coming from me , (which reminds me, we need to hang out one Saturday here at my dealer). My butt is finely tuned for some cars drive. I made a living that way. I have an e36 M3 modded up the ass. no modern car will ever "feel" like it did but mostly anything can out perform it easily.
Sense of adventure to me is having a reliable DD and a beater Porsche 944 build for the weekend. I also made THIS post but after some thought, a 2015 Camry (in white) and CPO 5.0 Mustang are also heavy contenders.

Yes, I've read your article on that - totally agree. Lack of communication is what I meant.
Cars can feel luxurious, isolating from noise and smooth but taught and sharp at the same time, especially when its revved up. Thats what I felt in my short time in a 981 Cayman S. Perfect.
I have driven a V6 Camry too. Its a good car, just not sporty and sharp enough for my personal taste. I would prefer an CPO S4 or 335 personally or previous gen Cayman R.
I'm guessing your E36 M3 is faster, but a little more rough. I like it rough :D No pun intended lol
I drive an '03 Accord I4 with a stick shift. I think Honda skipped the sound deadening on my car so most modern cars feel "numb" in comparison. The steering is vague and the suspension is cushy but can get bouncy on most Houston roads at moderate speed. But its very mechanical.
I do need to stop by to see you! Im not free this Saturday, but I'm free on other Saturdays and days of the week. Just let me know when you're free :)
